1874: Ontario, Canada – Cathedral of London: commissioned by Bishop Walsh; a cathedral was commenced in 1880, but the architect is named as Joseph Connolly. Perhaps Connolly simply oversaw the execution of EW Pugin's design after his death the following year in 1875; the building certainly looks very Puginesque.

1874: Chicago, USA – Several RC churches. demolished in 1964.

1874: New York City, USA – RC Cathedral of St Paul: scheme abandoned.

1874: Northampton, USA – Votive Chapel, Bridge & Gatehouse (for J. Holland) over the Connecticut River: the site has so far remained unidentified.

1875: Brooklyne, Boston, USA – Church & Monastery for the Redemptorists: the website of this (Romanesque) church cites Wm. Schickel & Isaac Dimars as architects (and F. Joseph Untersee as architect of the spired gothic towers that were completed in 1910).

1875: Denmark – Watergates and Bridge (in terracotta) to the mainland from the island estate of Count Kuth: in Renaissance/Francois I style.
